Please join us next Wednesday, April 29 at 11 in the library and on Zoom for a presentation by Margaret Olivia Sage scholar Paula McClain, “Factors Contributing to Black, Latino and Asian American Vote Choice for Kamala Harris in the 2024 Elections.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McClain is James B. Duke Distinguished Professor of Political Science and Professor of Public Policy and Dean of The Graduate School and Vice Provost for Graduate Education at Duke University. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

She also directs the American Political Science Association\u2019s Ralph Bunche Summer Institute hosted by Duke University and funded by the National Science Foundation and Duke University. Her primary research interests are in racial minority group politics, particularly inter-minority political and social competition, and urban politics. Her articles have appeared in numerous journals, most recently the\u00a0Journal of Politics,<\/em>\u00a0American Political Science Review<\/em>,\u00a0Urban Affairs Review<\/em>, the\u00a0Du Bois Review<\/em>, and\u00a0Groups and Identities<\/em>, among others.. She has authored several books, including the award-winning\u00a0Race, Place and Risk<\/a><\/em>, co-authored with Harold W. Rose and\u00a0American Government in Black and White<\/a><\/em>, co-authored with Steven Tauber. She is a contributing author to RSF volumes\u00a0Just Neighbors?<\/a><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Governing American Cities<\/a><\/em>.
