Please join me this Wednesday, March 9th at 11 AM in the Library for a seminar by Dr. Prudence Carter, entitled, “Research Use by Federal Policymakers & Journalists on Student and School Success.”<\/p>\n
Dr. Carter\u00a0is the\u00a0Jacks Family Professor of Education, Professor of\u00a0Sociology (by courtesy), and Faculty Director of the John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities at Stanford University. Dr. Carter\u2019s research and teaching expertise are in the areas of inequality and the sociology of education, with a particular focus on race, ethnicity, class, gender, culture, and identity.
