Dear RSF:
Please join us Thursday, June 13th at 2:00 PM in the library and on Zoom for a seminar by Guest Speaker David Leonhardt, “How to Write for a General Audience.”
David Leonhardt, a senior writer at The New York Times and RSF trustee, will offer advice to professors and graduate students who are interested in writing op-eds, social media posts and other material aimed at a wide audience. The seminar will be based on the writing course David taught last fall at Yale.
David is the author of Ours Was the Shining Future: The Story of the American Dream, which The Atlantic and Financial Times named one of the best books of 2023. At The Times, he runs The Morning newsletter and has previously been the Washington bureau chief, an Opinion columnist and founding editor of the Upshot section. He has won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary.
