Dear Staff, Scholars, and Researchers,
For anyone who may be interested, the applications for the 2016 LIS Summer Workshop are now online:
The 2016 LIS Summer Workshop will be held July 3- 9 in Luxembourg. The workshop is a one-week intensive course designed to introduce researchers in the social sciences to comparative research in income distribution, employment outcomes, and social policy, using the Luxembourg Income Study Database (LIS) and the Luxembourg Wealth Study Database (LWS).
The workshop format includes a mix of lectures on comparative research, laboratory sessions, and individual one-on-one advisory sessions. Workshop faculty includes the LIS Directors, Janet Gornick and Daniele Checchi, the LIS staff, and guest lecturers. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be fully trained to use the databases independently and will have had the opportunity to work and be advised on their own projects.
You can find more information about the workshop, including how to apply, here.
